Trends VS Truth

We are in the tech age where the world is reduced to mobile device, we can see the goings on even in the far most ends of the earth. The artist has long battled the forces of trends however, we are in the fiercest dispensation of this war of the mind. The artist, with just few clicks is caught in the web of what trends and what the mob is practicing against the sincerity of his heart.  Indeed, no artist can say he is completely independent and hasn't one way or the other been influenced. Every master has passed through a phase of metamorphosis and has carved a niche for himself. This process is most times natural and a subconscious shape-shift. However, many young artist go about digging the shallow wells of styles which eventually makes the artist half-baked, lacking depth and full understanding of his craft. 

Dear young artist, leave the crowd, shut the door of your mind against the prevailing trend that will pass away, embrace practice,  embrace diligence, learn the basics then grow into the true you. Learn from the butterfly, it does not struggle to fly before its time.
